Prophecy 2012 Part 2 ( Godly Families)

1 Corinthians 16:13-16  Be alert, stand firm in the faith, be brave, be strong.  (14)  Do all your work in love.  (15)  You know about Stephanas and his family; they are the first Christian converts in Achaia and have given themselves to the service of God's people. I beg you, my friends,  (16)  to follow the leadership of such people as these, and of anyone else who works and serves with them.

I really hear the Lord desiring to minister and speak to this notion called the family. Behind every core of a local church assembly is the family. Hundreds to thousands of families make up the large family of the local assembly. If those families are at odds or dysfunctional then the church becomes dysfunctional. The Living God created the family for a purpose. I read the above passage with great interest. Stephanas and his family were the first converts in Achaia. Achaia is the southern part of Greece, where the cities of Athens and Corinth are located. It was conquered by Rome in 146 BC. Achaia and Macedonia (the northern part) are sometimes mentioned together when referring to the whole of Greece.Stephanas and his whole family was on fire for the things of God. They all committed themselves to the  service of God's people. Paul tells the Corinthians to follow this family's example of leadership and serve the Lord.

The family is under attack today more than ever. Rebellion is strong within the ranks and many families are struggling. It starts with Fathers. Fathers have to rise up in their homes and declare the word of the Lord. Even over those children who are in rebellion. He must still call out the purpose of God within his sons and daughters. Below are some stats about the absence of fathers in a child's life.

1. According to the U.S. Census Bureau, 24 million children in America -- one out of three -- live in biological father-absent homes.
2.Children in father-absent homes are five times more likely to be poor. In 2002, 7.8 percent of children in married-couple families were living in poverty, compared to 38.4 percent of children in female-householder families.
3. Even after controlling for income, youths in father-absent households still had significantly higher odds of incarceration than those in mother-father families. Youths who never had a father in the household experienced the highest odds.Source: Harper, Cynthia C. and Sara S. McLanahan. “Father Absence and Youth Incarceration.” Journal of Research on Adolescence 14 (September 2004): 369-397.
4.A 2002 Department of Justice survey of 7,000 inmates revealed that 39% of jail inmates lived in mother-only households. Approximately forty-six percent of jail inmates in 2002 had a previously incarcerated family member. One-fifth experienced a father in prison or jail.
5.Of the 228 students studied, those from single-parent families reported higher rates of drinking and smoking as well as higher scores on delinquency and aggression tests when compared to boys from two-parent households.
6.Being raised by a single mother raises the risk of teen pregnancy, marrying with less than a high school degree, and forming a marriage where both partners have less than a high school degree.
7.The overall rate of child abuse and neglect in single-parent households is 27.3 children per 1,000, whereas the rate of overall maltreatment in two-parent households is 15.5 per 1,000.

Fathers are meant to lead their homes. Now being a father figure in your home does not necessarily mean that your children will not rebel but it does mean they will get a better chance in life to be outstanding citizens in society. Children will always have an opportunity to rebel regardless of what home they are raised in because of sin and free thought. As fathers we must ensure we pour into our children the truth of God's word in hopes our children will follow that truth. Nothing is impossible for God. Proverbs 22:6  Train up a child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.

Fathers are meant to call out of their children the gifts and purposes God has designed them for. This means praying and fasting over them. This means giving the truth and sharing your life with them. I can remember many times holding my sons and daughters in my arms many nights when they were younger. Praying over them and speaking over them God's purpose in their life. I would ( and still do) pray for their future spouses. I would pray for their future children. I would pray for their walk with Christ and that they would stand up against a life of sin. I would pray that they would not become religious but real before the Lord. I would pray that they would see through the traps of the enemy and see the Lord clearly. I would pray that they would have a clear and present relationship with the Lord. I still do these things. Even today, when I get up at 3:00Am in the morning, before I head out at work. I pray over my kids. The ones presently in my home and the ones  who are living somewhere else. A Father's passion for his children does not stop when the children are grown or have moved away. I still speak out the giftings, callings, and purposes over all of my children. It is my responsibility from the Lord. I know my Sons will be what God has fully called them to be. I know my daughters will be what the living God has called them to be as well. You can't fight the power of God nor the power of praying parents.

Mothers are so important as well within a family. Mothers share the nurturing heart of Father God. They are the main teachers and caregivers to their children. There is nothing like feeling a touch from a mother. When she holds you in her arms after you fell down and strapped your knee. There is nothing like a mother's kiss on your forehead. God designed mothers to show His loving heart to her children.  Read Proverbs 31 to see the full example of a godly mother and woman.

Children are God's special miracles given to two people who are deeply in love with each other. When I see my children I am drawn closer to the Lord. I am so blessed by the power of God.  I am a blessed Father. He has blessed me with a beautiful wife and four beautiful kids. Although I have not always been the perfect father. I have tried my best through the Lord to instill into my kids the truth of God's word. They are accountable to the truth they have heard.  Children are meant to listen and take head to the words of their parents. Parents should walk in the wisdom from the Lord. It does not mean they are perfect but they must each have personal relationships with the Father. The Book of Proverbs is filled with words from King David to his Son King Solomon. Unfortunately, Solomon did not listen and ended up doing things he regretted years later, but what brought him out of a spiraling lifestyle were the words from his father.

Proverbs 1:8  My son, listen to your father's discipline, and do not neglect your mother's teachings,

Proverbs 2:1  My son, if you take my words to heart and treasure my commands within you,

So Why do I consider this prophetic for 2012 and beyond? The Lord keeps speaking over and over about the family unit within my spirit. It is so important that families reconcile and start living the life God has designed for us. Out of the family unit  will come the full vision of who Jesus is to the world. I have a deep prophetic utterance rising up within me. God is calling the family out. He is declaring our purpose once again. Father's rise up and be what God has called you to be to your family. Mothers express the living God's nurturing heart. Children obey your parents and live your life for Christ. We all have a role to play. The Lord will bring his power through the lives of those who are passionately serving Him. We can't allow the enemy and society to continue to deface the purpose of a godly family. We must fight for it. We must declare God's truth for it and put to flight those who wish to destroy it. Joshua in the Old Testament said it best.

Joshua 24:15  And if it seem evil unto you to serve the LORD, choose you this day whom ye will serve; whether the gods which your fathers served that were on the other side of the flood, or the gods of the Amorites, in whose land ye dwell: but as for me and my house, we will serve the LORD.

Regardless of what happens, we will have the determination to serve the Lord and not be absent-minded people who follow the world's system and philosophies. We choose to follow the Lord's truth even when it is not popular and offensive. We choose to serve the Lord even when so many are trying to keep one foot in the world and one foot into God's. We will seek after his heart even when many are replacing His heart with their own ideas and self-serving thoughts. Families of God arise and be the expression of the Living God to the World!

Building your Altar

Growing up, my siblings and I spent allot of time outdoors. Partly because it was a lot of fun and partly because our mom always locked us out of the house until it was time to come in. She would yell, “You’re not coming back in forth in the house because you are letting all the flies in." She would say this while the fly Swatter ( flizewater if you are from the South) was tucked underneath her little arms. My mom is about 5 foot tall and back then her poofed up hair made her about 6 foot tall That Fly Swatter was also a deterrent for us siblings because it was also a rod of correction. She would use it to swat us when we misbehaved or got on her nerves. We were not innocent kids.
Anyway we would have a hearty breakfast and were pushed out the door once we were finished. Mom would lock the screen door and once in awhile stand at it like a guard in a prison ward just to make sure we were not trying to pick the lock. ( Oh yeah we tried it sometimes). I don't know what she would put in the breakfast food she made us; but we were hyper for the rest of the day. I remember climbing trees, doing gymnastic flips in the front yard (Mom would sometimes hollower from the winder " Stop doing that before you break your neck."), crawling on the ground like a commando, digging holes and making tunnels, swinging on vines in the forest, throwing rocks at bull frogs and seeing if I could get their inners to come out, and all of this was done just in the first hour! I think that woman put speed or something in our food there is no telling...
When school was in session; we would get off the bus, walk to our Trailer (House on wheels for those who don't know) and make our way into the back door. Guess what? The Warden was already standing there in the threshold" Drop your books at the steps and I will bring them in" Mom would say with sternness. “But Mom we want to come in, we been at school all day, we are tired.” We would say with a childish whine. “Here are some snacks for yell; you can come in when it is time for supper." mom would reply with a sinister grin.  We would eat our snacks and sure enough our energy would come back. It was powerful! One felt like they could fly to the moon in back. What did she put in that thing?
I often wonder what Mom was doing in our house all those times we were stuck outside. One day I discovered her secret. I was home from school due to having the measles. Mom did her motherly duty and took care of me. I would lie on the couch in the living room so mom could watch me. And there it was on the TV. She was watching SOAP OPERAS all day. SOAP OPERAS were these day time drama shows which a lot of American women use to get caught up in. It had romance and suspenseful situations. I watched as my Mom would just stare at the TV like someone who was hypnotized. She would give off gestures in grievance with the conversation on the TV. She seemed to be drugged. In fact, she stared at the TV so long; I had to get up and whip the drool that was dripping from her face. It was a sight to behold. (I hope you all know I am embellishing this story a little bit.) I never knew Mom was a SOAP OPERA zombie but there she was hooked lined and sinkered. Once I was better the SPECIAL FOOD was stuffed back in me; and I was off to make havoc on the outside of prison camp.

Actually the story above is a draw in. It has nothing really to do with what I wanted to express here today. One thing about spending your childhood outside was that one day you were bound to meet up with the Creator. When I became a Christian as a teenager my whole world changed for the better. I was in love with this great big God. I loved reading the Bible and tried my best to take Him at His word. I never forget reading about the stories of great men of God in the Old Testament who would build altars before the Lord. These altars were places of worship. They were meeting places where God would come down and speak to the seeker. The altars were land marks for future generations. When someone would pass by the altar they knew something great happen at this spot. Since I spent most of my childhood in the woods. I decided to build an altar before the Lord. One day I made my trek through the forest. I made sure no one was following me because I wanted my altar to be a secret place between God and myself. In our woods there was a creek which flowed down the center of the property. It had huge granite type rocks laying all over the place. I would get the rocks from the creek and make my way to the site. One by one I carried these heavy rocks until my altar was finished. To me the altar was a beautiful landmark where I could kneel upon it and pray. To someone else it probably looked like a beaver was building his house at the wrong place. Nonetheless, it became my sanctuary. Every day I would trek back to my altar and spend time with the Lord. You know God would meet me there many of those days. I could feel his presence; and it was a special. Even in the cold months, I would kneel and call out to my God. The Lord became more real to me during those times and I will never forget my experiences there. I had visions and visitations from the Lord. I had greater understandings from His word; and it was an amazing experience.
I am not saying you have to build a physical altar to get close to God, but you should have a place where you meet God. It can be your bedroom, a barn, or any private place
.
Psalm 43:4 Then let me go to the altar of God, to God my highest joy, and I will give thanks to you on the lyre, O God, my God.

We are called to go to our altars and simply worship the Lord. If the people of God would humbly meet the Lord in prayer, fasting, praise, and worship; there would be no sin among our ranks. There would be no quarrels and gossips. Once you spend time with the Holy Lord then your whole life is brought before Him. He holds your soul up into the light and reveals all the unnecessary things. Leaders of God, if you do not have a constant altar time before the Lord then either stop leading or take a sabbatical until you do. It is not about the ministry. It is not about how many you can lead to the Lord. It is not about the beautiful building you can build or how many people you can feed. It is about your personal relationship with the Lord. Out of that relationship comes the passion and wisdom “TO DO” the work. I travel, minister, reach out to others not because it is my duty but because of my relationship with the Lord. His compassion, love, passion, and desires are transplanted in me each time I kneel at that altar. Think of it this way. If you try to perform or do the ministry in your own strength then all those works and heavy labor is like dung to the eyes of God. If we are not spending time with Him to grasp His love then we are just banging cymbals together and making a lot of noise. Look at the scriptures below.

Philippians 3:1-8  Finally, my brethren, rejoice in the Lord. To write the same things to you, to me indeed is not grievous, but for you it is safe.  (2)  Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision.  (3)  For we are the circumcision, which worship God in the spirit, and rejoice in Christ Jesus, and have no confidence in the flesh.  (4)  Though I might also have confidence in the flesh. If any other man thinketh that he hath whereof he might trust in the flesh, I more:  (5)  Circumcised the eighth day, of the stock of Israel, of the tribe of Benjamin, an Hebrew of the Hebrews; as touching the law, a Pharisee;  (6)  Concerning zeal, persecuting the church; touching the righteousness which is in the law, blameless.  (7)  But what things were gain to me, those I counted loss for Christ.  (8)  Yea doubtless, and I count all things but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ,

1 Corinthians 13:1-3  Though I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, and have not charity, I am become as sounding brass, or a tinkling cymbal.  (2)  And though I have the gift of prophecy, and understand all mysteries, and all knowledge; and though I have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.  (3)  And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, and have not charity, it profiteth me nothing.

Meet the Lord at your altar today. One thing is true. The Lord will not build the altar for you to worship Him at. The altar must be built by your hands and your sweat. It must be something you pour your life into. I carried those 20 to 50 pound rocks from the creek to the site where my physical altar was built. It took me all day to finish. I did not wear any gloves either. I had calluses on my hands and my muscles hurt like crazy. In fact, I remember my hands bleeding a little and my blood was upon those rocks. I dropped one rock when I fell going up the hill and skinned my knee. Physically I was a mess but spiritually I was a superman. It is not easy spending time with your creator. The world is going on around you and you and I have to function in it, but how important is your Lord to you? To me, He is my everything.

Sitting on the Sidelines

American Football is by far the most popular game in my country and sometimes the most complex. I will not claim to know allot about it because I don't. But I can give you experiences that I had growing up and hope that they can be used as an analogy for the lesson which is in my heart today. Growing up, we played football with surrounding neighbors or even church kids. We called it REDNECK football because we did not have any rules nor any padding to cushion our hits or falls. REDNECK football meant you could tackle the guy with the ball anyway you saw fit. It was not unheard up to see a short guy flying in the air doing a WHA WHO McDaniel ( an old wrestler) drop kicking the guy with the ball. I loved it!!! I was a gymnasts and ran track when I was younger, so you would see me doing flips and having movements of speed bursts going down the field. Because of my short stature and quickness on the feet; I rarely was hit by the big guys. Don't get me wrong there were times when I was hit and boy did it hurt like Bull hitting a side of a barn.  Football has two teams that go at it towards each other to make a goal. In REDNECK football, we would have 5 to 6 of our team members on the field at one time and change out the players throughout the game. I hated sitting on the sidelines and watching the game. I wanted to be in the game. I wanted to run ( bare footed I might add) down the field to make a goal. There is nothing like the feeling of running past all the players and making a goal. You get to slam the ball on the ground and do the little wiggle dance. It's awesome!!!! Sitting on the sidelines stopped me from being in the game. It gave me the rest I needed but if I sat there too long then I got antsy.

There is a race or a spiritual football game we are playing in life. Our present life has to make a difference for the Kingdom of God. I don't do things for God so I can have a relationship for Him. I have a relationship with Him so I am compelled to share His message with others.

Philippians 3:12-15  It's not that I've already reached the goal or have already completed the course. But I run to win that which Jesus Christ has already won for me.  (13)  Brothers and sisters, I can't consider myself a winner yet. This is what I do: I don't look back, I lengthen my stride, and  (14)  I run straight toward the goal to win the prize that God's heavenly call offers in Christ Jesus.  (15)  Whoever has a mature faith should think this way. And if you think differently, God will show you how to think.

Too many Christians are sitting on the side lines in their faith. They watch all the players running up and down the field and making all the field goals while they sit and watch. Being a believer is NOT A SPECTATOR'S sport. Paul the apostle said there is a goal we must all reach in our life on this planet. WHOEVER HAS A MATURE FAITH thinks this way. How powerful is that? Don't get me wrong there are times where we have to sit on the side lines to rest and regain our strength but to camp there is not God's will.We are called to something much better than this. I want to encourage you. Get your head back into the game. Get back on the field. Go bust some devils heads open. Drop kick them in the face and make a field goal for Jesus. Do the wiggle dance at the goal post and make Daddy proud. He loves to watch us play. Play with passion and out of your love for Him. Win because you are already a winner through Christ.

Sin Zombies

The American culture and maybe other cultures are fascinated with zombies for some reason. The idea about seeing walking dead people seems to boggle the mind for some. I think it is just plain Science Fiction and gross. Why would people enjoy watching some creature eat the brains out of someone else? We have a sick culture and it is growing worse each day.  Therefore, lets use a metaphor in reference to a zombie. We shall call it Sin Zombies. ( dut dut dut dahhhhhh. Music coming from the air somewhere with a sinister tune.)

I am sorry but SIN makes us , well STUPID!!!!.  Sin in young people makes them DOUBLE STUPID!!!!. I know that sounds harsh but it is true. There are a bunch of Sin Zombies walking around that are making some stupid decisions.  We are a people filled with choices. We can chose the right things if we want but many rather be little sheep and stupidly follow the crowd. Many rather follow the other Zombies on their quest to each brains and make more zombies. Sin begats more sin.  Being a Sin Zombie is just another way of calling a person a fool. Sin makes you a fool and makes you think you are right. There is only one way to God and it ain't by my self imposed beliefs. It is only through His son Jesus Christ. What does the bible says about Sin Zombies.  Let's look at the wonderful book of Proverbs. My grandmother made me read this book several times over when I was young. It changed my life and prevented me from making some stupid mistakes.

Proverbs 10:14  Those who are wise store up knowledge, but the mouth of a stubborn fool invites ruin.
Proverbs 11:29  Whoever brings trouble upon his family inherits only wind, and that stubborn fool becomes a slave to the wise in heart.
Proverbs 12:15  A stubborn fool considers his own way the right one, but a person who listens to advice is wise.
Proverbs 12:16  When a stubborn fool is irritated, he shows it immediately, but a sensible person hides the insult.
Proverbs 13:16  Any sensible person acts with knowledge, but a fool displays stupidity.
Proverbs 14:7  Stay away from a fool, because you will not receive knowledge from his lips.
Proverbs 14:16  A wise person is cautious and turns away from evil, but a fool is careless and overconfident.
Proverbs 15:5  A stubborn fool despises his father's discipline, but whoever appreciates a warning shows good sense.
Proverbs 17:12  Better to meet a bear robbed of its cubs than a fool carried away with his stupidity.
Proverbs 17:16  Why should a fool have money in his hand to buy wisdom when he doesn't have a mind to grasp anything?
Proverbs 17:21  The parent of a fool has grief, and the father of a godless fool has no joy.
Proverbs 17:24  Wisdom is directly in front of an understanding person, but the eyes of a fool are looking around all over the world.
Proverbs 18:2  A fool does not find joy in understanding but only in expressing his own opinion.
Proverbs 18:7  A fool's mouth is his ruin. His lips are a trap to his soul.
Proverbs 23:9  Do not talk directly to a fool, because he will despise the wisdom of your words.
Proverbs 26:4  Do not answer a fool with his own stupidity, or you will be like him.
Proverbs 26:11  As a dog goes back to its vomit, so a fool repeats his stupidity.
Proverbs 26:12  Have you met a person who thinks he is wise? There is more hope for a fool than for him.
Proverbs 28:26  Whoever trusts his own heart is a fool. Whoever walks in wisdom will survive.

Now I know the above verses seem harsh and to the point, but they are so true. They describe the Sin Zombies of today. Many people think they are wiser than the word of God. Many think they are wiser than Jesus. Many foolishly rewrite the word of God to fit their desired lifestyles. It is foolishness and those who do so are fools according to the word of God. I am sorry but the word of God is offensive at times. I am sorry but His word does make you squirm in your seat. It is powerful. It is revealing. I know it is for my own life. It points out my own failures and sins but rightfully so. I need His truth in my life so I will not become a mindless Sin Zombie wondering around. The cure to sin is His holiness and His truth. Sin Zombies don't need to wonder around aimlessly. We have the CURE. There was someone who lived almost 2000 years ago who was immune to the Sin virus. His blood contains anti-bodies which fights off the Sin Virus that turns so many people into Zombies. Just on ounce of His blood could cure the world from this plaguing disease.  There would be Zombies no more. The mindless apes just need to except the antidote. They must have the desire to be free and stop wondering aimlessly in their sin. There is a cure and His name is Jesus.

As believers, we are called to administer and reveal the antidote to whosoever believers. We are called to ravage through the countless crowds of Sin Zombies and declared the antidote the wondering masses. There is a HOPE and HIS NAME IS JESUS! Don't be afraid but allow this year to be the time where you hide no longer from the Zombies but preach to them the message of Christ. Remember you once was a Sin Zombie that needed a cure. Now that you have the cure share it with others. Faith without works is dead. Works without faith is dead. The Message of Christ is an action verb. It must be shared with our neighbors, friends, family, co-workers, and whosoever will hear. Because of the foolishness of some Zombies, they will not listen to the message but be patient. God is still on the throne. Fight the good fight of the faith anyway. Stand up for the Message of Christ anyway regardless if the Zombies stop to listen or not. Our goal is to share. His goal is to save.  Happy Hunting.

Note from the blogger:  No Sin Zombies were severely hurt during this experiment.

Death Revealed

Here's a subject many are afraid to tackle. DEATH. Death is such a great unknown many steer away from it's clear presence. As believers, we actually have the Lois Lane scoop on the whole subject! Death is not the finish but the graduation. It is not the completion but the beginning of a new project. We can have a greater understanding of this topic by simply referring to the word of God.

When you are young the subject of death is far from your everyday vocabulary. Along with being young comes the ignorance of philosophical truth. Maybe that is why when we think of philosophers; we see them as old grayed haired men who wear tunics and one hand is stretched up in the air while spilling words of deep thought.

Romans 5:12-17  Sin came into the world through one person, and death came through sin. So death spread to everyone, because everyone sinned.  (13)  Sin was in the world before there were any laws. But no record of sin can be kept when there are no laws.  (14)  Yet, death ruled from the time of Adam to the time of Moses, even over those who did not sin in the same way Adam did when he disobeyed. Adam is an image of the one who would come.  (15)  There is no comparison between God's gift and Adam's failure. If humanity died as the result of one person's failure, it is certainly true that God's kindness and the gift given through the kindness of one person, Jesus Christ, have been showered on humanity.  (16)  There is also no comparison between God's gift and the one who sinned. The verdict which followed one person's failure condemned everyone. But, even after many failures, the gift brought God's approval.  (17)  It is certain that death ruled because of one person's failure. It's even more certain that those who receive God's overflowing kindness and the gift of his approval will rule in life because of one person, Jesus Christ.

Sin came into the world through one person and death came through sin. Just think while mankind was following after the heart of God there was no such thing as death. Death is an invention from sin. It is a by-product from Sin's destructive path.  Here is the kicker DEATH use to rule this world but through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ Death no longer rules us. Death was defeated on the Cross and through the resurrected grave! Jesus took death to the cross and beat the snot out of it!. Death can't exist unless a sinful life is sucking in oxygen. That is why we must die a spiritual death but that is another subject all together.

1 Corinthians 15:47-58  The first man was made from the dust of the earth. He came from the earth. The second man came from heaven.  (48)  The people on earth are like the man who was made from the dust of the earth. The people in heaven are like the man who came from heaven.  (49)  As we have worn the likeness of the man who was made from the dust of the earth, we will also wear the likeness of the man who came from heaven.  (50)  Brothers and sisters, this is what I mean: Flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of God. What decays cannot inherit what doesn't decay.  (51)  I'm telling you a mystery. Not all of us will die, but we will all be changed.  (52)  It will happen in an instant, in a split second at the sound of the last trumpet. Indeed, that trumpet will sound, and then the dead will come back to life. They will be changed so that they can live forever.  (53)  This body that decays must be changed into a body that cannot decay. This mortal body must be changed into a body that will live forever.  (54)  When this body that decays is changed into a body that cannot decay, and this mortal body is changed into a body that will live forever, then the teaching of Scripture will come true: "Death is turned into victory!  (55)  Death, where is your victory? Death, where is your sting?"  (56)  Sin gives death its sting, and God's standards give sin its power.  (57)  Thank God that he gives us the victory through our Lord Jesus Christ.  (58)  So, then, brothers and sisters, don't let anyone move you off the foundation of your faith. Always excel in the work you do for the Lord. You know that the hard work you do for the Lord is not pointless.

Do we understand Death at all? As believers we are over comers  and death no longer has control over us. Now does that mean we will not die? That is exactly what I mean! But you are thinking about my physical body aren't you? Not even my physical body dies! What? You are asking? Are you confused yet? To those who see without the eyes of Christ see death in the body but the bible says in I Corinthians 15:42 that the body is planted. Planted for what? For the believer it is planted in order to reap something greater. This body might go into the earth but it is not dead. It is germinating. It is awaiting for something greater to appear. The Spirit lives on and awaits the time when it will be reunited with the body. This is the truth behind the Resurrection of Jesus. His body was not dead from the brutality on the cross; it was planted in the tomb until the appointed day of reaping. On the third day, the time of reaping came! There is a time of reaping coming for all of us! Whoa whooooo!  I am not saying we are a mythological people from Glorantha and we are plant people. What I am saying is that believers need not fear death or become overwhelmed by it's mysterious ways. We have a greater hope. Lets look at some thoughts about the subject.

Truth about life, spirit and death

1. The first Adam brought the world a living body.
2. The Second Adam ( Jesus) brought a spirit giving body
3. In the stage of life the body must be planted at the appointed time in order for the Spirit to resurrect it anew and turn it into a Spiritual Body.
4. Jesus came to unite the heavenly with the earthly. Our bodies will morph into something new at the appointed time. It will be something the Angels have never seen before and something earthlings have never seen before.
5. The Body must be planted in order to be resurrected and so it can exist before the Living God. The non-eternal can not coincide with the eternal. The Body has to be changed from a finite form to a infinite form. Our body has to die or planted into the earth. Dust we came and Dust we return  to take on the heavenly form of Jesus. We follow Him into his resurrection.
6. Death no longer has a sting. It can no longer control us. We over power it through Christ. Death in the natural is never the final result. As believers we have victory regardless. Whether we leave our body for a season or when we return to it. We have the total victory!

Paul the Apostle gave us encouragement and a great reminder. Live our life to please the Lord! Live our life to benefit others and never look behind you to see if death is about to catch up. This body will one day be laid down to sleep. It will begin to decay and rot( signs of life and it has to go back to dust again because God is going to recreate us through the dust again) until the appointed time when the Living Christ calls for my spirit and body to be reunited. Then what was planted in the soil will be reaped into something glorious. Heaven and Earth has never seen this new form of body outside of the existence of Jesus. We are unique to the angels and will be unique to the people of the earth. This is the promise of the Lord. We need not worry about death. We need not mourn for believers who have gone before us.

Let me get a little more philosophical. Do you know how when people die we say things like " They are waiting for us up in heaven or they are looking down from heaven on us." These statements are made from corporeal beings. Corporeal beings still live in the realm of time. Time influences our thoughts about things which exists outside of time. When a believer dies he or she steps out from a world of chronos( time) and enters into a world of ainios ( eternity). Therefore, when he or she appears in heaven we are right behind them. Henceforth, if subject A dies on Monday of next week and subject B dies 30 years later than subject A. They both arrive in heaven at the same point in non-time. This is why the saints before us did not worry about death. They understood what it actually meant. We can regain the ancient truth for our lives today.  If someone is dying of cancer and is only given two months to live; it does not mean their days are more numbered than a person who is in greater health. The moment we breathe our first breathe in this finite world; we all are on borrowed time. We could die at day 1 or at day 25,000 ( average life span of 73 X 365 days) Each day is a gift and special. Each day we awake is another day we get to have. We are blessed to have a day and hopefully 25,000 days or more. When we understand this perspective then we understand the need to live each day with promise and without compromise. We should seize each day with all that is within us. We should mend broken relationships. We should forgive and move on. We should let go and let God. We should strive to live holy lives without the prowling of sin on our backs. We can live free from the fear of death but understand the cost of life. Don't let your life be consumed with petty differences and corporeal collisions from the human physique. Walk in the freedom of the Lord and know he is forever our God. Remember Death has no sting! And we are the true victors!!!!

Prophecy 2012 part 1

I have felt strongly about 2012 that some great things are going to happen around the world in God's kingdom. I can't fully explain it but there is something about to happen. God already stands there in the goodness but we are waiting to catch up.  Don't get me wrong. There will be some secular circumstances happening in our world as well. I wanted to take a stab at what I feel the Lord saying.  As I write this, I just sense the urgency. Hopefully you, the reader, can take some of this prophetic word for yourself and ministries.

A word for this year and for years to come.

1. The Lord will do Right in the lives of many of his people.

Isaiah 16:5  Then the LORD will set up a trusted king. He will rule faithfully. He is from the tent of David. He judges and searches for justice. He is quick to do what is right.

Some of God's people have felt like the forgotten ones. They have cried out for justice and it appears that justice has not come. For some, these past few years have been your worse. I hear the living God saying that He comes with justice. He will quickly do right in your life. The delay was not a delay but for a time. It was for you to see the hand of Justice from your God. It was so you would see the faithfulness of the Lord and not trust in your own strength. Start declaring that HE WILL DO RIGHT in your life? All of those who have degraded you. All those who have caused you pain. All those circumstances which have come and caused you grief and sorrow. Our God  WILL DO RIGHT! He will bring justice!

Nahum 1:3  The LORD is patient and has great strength. The LORD will never let the guilty go unpunished. Raging winds and storms mark his path, and clouds are the dust from his feet.

2. The East Wind will blow something fresh and new for God's people.

Psalms 78:26  He made the east wind blow in the heavens and guided the south wind with his might.

New to us but not new to God. Fresh to us because we need His refreshing. We desperately need His times of Refreshing. This will only come as His people openly repent. Repent for being lazy in our faith. Repent for esteeming men higher than the Living God. Repent for allowing corruption to mix with our truth. Repent for not fighting or standing up for the truth. When this crying out comes then there will be the releasing of the East Wind like it was released for the People of Israel in the wilderness. This is how God brought comfort to them. The East wind will blow from the heavens and flow onto the body of Christ. There is a fresh wind coming. There is a fresh wind blowing. It is waiting. It is being held up by the hand of Holy Spirit and waiting to be released. As we cry out and call on His name. As we humble ourselves. I keep seeing the four corners of the earth trampled upon by the winds of God.

3. Something clearly in the Physical realm will reveal God's Glory this year. I kept seeing something spectacular in the heavens which would reveal to opened hearts the majesty of God. He will ride in the heavens and we will draw closer to Him.

Deuteronomy 33:26  "There's no one like your God, Jeshurun! He rides through the heavens to help you. In majesty he rides through the clouds.

4. A call to Prayer and Fasting.  I know every year many Fast and Pray at the beginning of the year. I think it is great. We are actually doing now, but I really sense the Lord saying this needs to be a year of more Prayer and Fasting. I year of true devotion and sitting more at His feet. There are words that need to be spoken but many are like Martha and are too busy working in the Kitchen. Be like Mary and sit down at my feet through prayer and Fasting.

Luke 10:38-42  As they were traveling along, Jesus went into a village. A woman named Martha welcomed him into her home.  (39)  She had a sister named Mary. Mary sat at the Lord's feet and listened to him talk.  (40)  But Martha was upset about all the work she had to do. So she asked, "Lord, don't you care that my sister has left me to do the work all by myself? Tell her to help me."  (41)  The Lord answered her, "Martha, Martha! You worry and fuss about a lot of things.  (42)  There's only one thing you need. Mary has made the right choice, and that one thing will not be taken away from her."

I really hear the Lord desiring to speak more. I will write more as I feel directed. I do want to say this. You  judge the word and ensure it is from the Lord. Make sure that it matches up with the Bible.

The Unknown God

Acts 17:23-30  As I was going through your city and looking closely at the objects you worship, I noticed an altar with this written on it: 'To an unknown god.' I'm telling you about the unknown god you worship.  (24)  The God who made the universe and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth. He doesn't live in shrines made by humans,  (25)  and he isn't served by humans as if he needed anything. He gives everyone life, breath, and everything they have.  (26)  From one man he has made every nation of humanity to live all over the earth. He has given them the seasons of the year and the boundaries within which to live.  (27)  He has done this so that they would look for God, somehow reach for him, and find him. In fact, he is never far from any one of us.  (28)  Certainly, we live, move, and exist because of him. As some of your poets have said, 'We are God's children.'  (29)  So if we are God's children, we shouldn't think that the divine being is like an image made from gold, silver, or stone, an image that is the product of human imagination and skill.  (30)  "God overlooked the times when people didn't know any better. But now he commands everyone everywhere to turn to him and change the way they think and act.

We can look around and see the greatest of our God. He is the unknown God to many. He is the missing link that scientists continue to look for. We can see the vastness of our universe and know that our God is the creator and the architect.  Just look at the Majesty of our God.

We can see the beauty of our Lord all around us. Mankind is without excuse. We know deep down within us that there is something greater than ourselves. We understand the heavens could not just be formed from an explosion without the help from a greater being. Paul the Apostle, told the people that the Lord God has commanded mankind to change the way we think and act. It is time to surrender to the greatest of our King. It is time to lay down sinful acts and desires and turn deeper to Him. It is past time that we stop the evil within us and turn completely to one that exists outside of the Universe.

I just woke up this morning thinking about the greatness of our King. I am so humbled by the majesty of Him. His presence is so real and tangible. I don't have to try and make it up or conjure up some super spiritual feeling. He is simply real. His word is simply truth. He is the only God of this universe. Do I understand everything about Him? No I don't but one day I will. Do I understand is origin? No because He is origin. Do I understand His power? No because He is power! We truly serve and amazing God.

Lessons in Leadership part 10 ( Accusations)

Pastors and leaders in general probably face some of the most harsh accusations than average people in the world. It is because they are in the front for everyone to see and become easy targets. Unfortunately, leaders' families have to deal a lot with accusations as well. Sometimes they too become the targets from evil and confused people. In America, many are so sue happy; therefore, one could find themselves having to face off in the courtroom. Trust me this is not a fun thing to experience. Jesus said that we would be accused falsely in the last days. Saints, it isn't going to get any better; so it is important to deal with them now in order to overcome the new ones of tomorrow.

Matthew 5:11-12  "Blessed are you when people insult you, persecute you, lie, and say all kinds of evil things about you because of me.  (12)  Rejoice and be glad because you have a great reward in heaven! The prophets who lived before you were persecuted in these ways.

Why do people accuse others of things? Now I am talking about false accusations. Leaders get false accusations most often and there are reasons why.

1. The accuser is just plain ignorant. Most people accuse without all the facts and base their facts on assumptions or perceptions. In their mind it is fact. Most are too ignorant to see past these assumptions and perceptions. I know that sounds harsh but understand when I say the word " Ignorant" It means being unaware of something due to the lack of true hard facts and the refusal of seeing the true hard facts.
2. The accuser is simply evil in heart. Sorry to say, there are some hateful, evil, self-centered, self-absorb, and down right rotten people out there in the world. Most people don't have to deal with them but guess who does? You guessed it! The Leader! Argghhhhhhhhh! Evil people are out to do evil. They want to see other people hurt. They thrive on getting what they can from others. They only see themselves because their world consist of just them. For some reason, they feel , you the leader, deserves a little hardship. There is nothing you can do against evil people but pray and find comfort in the following scriptures. ( Every now and then you can ask God to give you power like Elijah to call down lightening from heaven and destroy the prophets of Baal. Just kidding. Neat thought though.)

Psalm 71:13  Let those who accuse me come to a shameful end. Let those who want my downfall be covered with disgrace and humiliation.
Psalm 109:4  In return for my love, they accuse me, but I pray for them.
Proverbs 11:9
“The hypocrite with his mouth destroys his neighbor, but through knowledge the righteous will be delivered.” (NKJV)

I have quoted this next passage many times when facing accusations from false accusers. Now I know what you are thinking. " This sounds like revenge." No revenge would be to do harm back on another person or hurl insults back at them. That is too easy and only takes a small minded person to do so. This passage was something King David prayed and saw the living God redeem him mightily. David could pray this because he had a pure heart and a passion to see God glorified. Now I am not saying to pray this over your enemies. What I am saying is remember that the Living God has your back if you are standing in righteousness with Him. Make sure your heart is clean and you are living a holy life though.

Psalms 109:2-20  Wicked and deceitful people have opened their mouths against me. They speak against me with lying tongues.  (3)  They surround me with hateful words. They fight against me for no reason.  (4)  In return for my love, they accuse me, but I pray for them.  (5)  They reward me with evil instead of good and with hatred instead of love.  (6)  I said, "Appoint the evil one to oppose him. Let Satan stand beside him.  (7)  When he stands trial, let him be found guilty. Let his prayer be considered sinful.  (8)  Let his days be few in number. Let someone else take his position.  (9)  "Let his children become fatherless and his wife a widow.  (10)  Let his children wander around and beg. Let them seek help far from their ruined homes.  (11)  Let a creditor take everything he owns. Let strangers steal what he has worked for.  (12)  Let no one be kind to him anymore. Let no one show any pity to his fatherless children.  (13)  Let his descendants be cut off and their family name be wiped out by the next generation.  (14)  Let the LORD remember the guilt of his ancestors and not wipe out his mother's sin.  (15)  Let their guilt and sin always remain on record in front of the LORD. Let the LORD remove every memory of him from the earth,  (16)  because he did not remember to be kind. "He drove oppressed, needy, and brokenhearted people to their graves.  (17)  He loved to put curses on others, so he, too, was cursed. He did not like to bless others, so he never received a blessing.  (18)  He wore cursing as though it were clothing, so cursing entered his body like water and his bones like oil.  (19)  Let cursing be his clothing, a belt he always wears."  (20)  This is how the LORD rewards those who accuse me, those who say evil things against me.

3.The accuser is blinded from the truth. For whatever reason, sin or lack of relationship with the living God, some people have allowed themselves to be blinded from the truth. Most the time it is sin and  sometimes is simply a lack of relationship with the Father.

As leaders, we are going to face accusations from Christians and non-Christians alike. Although, I would say that I have had  worse accusations from "CHRISTIANS" than from non. I use the word " CHRISTIAN" lightly. We stand on the front lines and the enemy will use anyone to come against you. Yes, the enemy is real for those of you who think otherwise. Yes, there is a real demonic evil out there. If you don't believe me come on one of my missions trips sometimes.  Anyway there is going to be trouble but God is faithful. So what can you do? How can you face the pain of false accusations. When I say pain, I mean it. It hurts like a knife being stabbed into your eye socket. You get the picture. Especically when the false accusations come from those you trusted and thought they loved you. It is funny. As leaders, you give people allot of grace but very rarely receive that same amount of grace back and the same respect back. It is sad to see and go through. But there are things you can do.

Overcoming False Accusations.

1. Trust in the Lord through it all. Psalm 20:7
“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God.” (NIV)

2. Don't repay evil for evil or don't be small minded. 1 Peter 3:9
“Don’t repay evil for evil. Don’t retaliate with insults when people insult you. Instead, pay them back with a blessing. That is what God has called you to do, and he will bless you for it.” (NLT)

3. Be assured that you will be vindicated. It might take awhile but it will happen. I have seen it time and time again. Isaiah 54:17
“But in that coming day no weapon turned against you will succeed. You will silence every voice raised up to accuse you. These benefits are enjoyed by the servants of the Lord; their vindication will come from me. I, the Lord, have spoken!” (NLT)

4. Count it all joy and rejoice in the Lord. James 1:2-4
“My brethren, count it all joy when you fall into various trials, knowing that the testing of your faith produces patience. But let patience have its perfect work, that you may be perfect and complete, lacking nothing.”(NKJV)

5. Don't let it stop you from excepting constructive criticism.Proverbs 15: 31-33
“If you listen to constructive criticism, you will be at home among the wise. If you reject discipline, you only harm yourself; but if you listen to correction, you grow in understanding. Fear of the Lord teaches wisdom; humility precedes honor.” (NLT)

6. Learn to forgive but be cautious.   Luke 17:3 -4 “Be on your guard! If your brother sins, rebuke him; and if he repents, forgive him. And if he sins against you seven times a day, and returns to you seven times, saying, ‘I repent,’ forgive him.” (NASB)

Ideally, true Christians will come to you and talk it out if they have a problem with you. Unfortunately, we don't live in an ideal world and some Christians are just immature in their walk with the Lord. If people falsely accuse you without following Matthew 18 then they are simply in the wrong and the living God will deal with them in due time. Now if sinners falsely accuse you then there is a difference. They don't have the protection of the Lord and the Law of Reaping and Sowing will come upon them like anyone else. We simply need to stay humble and broken before the Lord. We should never rejoice when accusers reap what they have sown either. We should always keep our lives without offense and pure before the King. If you have faced false accusations, be of good cheer our God is on our side.  If you are going through false accusations please let me know. I want to help you. I want to stand by you and pray. I know from experience the pain you are going through. Let it make you and not break you.

Apocalypse and the Days to come

"An Apocalypse (Greek: “lifting of the veil” or “revelation”) is a disclosure of something hidden from the majority of mankind in an era dominated by falsehood and misconception, i.e. the veil to be lifted." — Wikipedia

"Both the Hopis and Mayans recognize that we are approaching the end of a World Age... In both cases, however, the Hopi and Mayan elders do not prophesy that everything will come to an end. Rather, this is a time of transition from one World Age into another. The message they give concerns our making a choice of how we enter the future ahead. Our moving through with either resistance or acceptance will determine whether the transition will happen with cataclysmic changes or gradual peace and tranquility. The same theme can be found reflected in the prophecies of many other Native American visionaries from Black Elk to Sun Bear."
— Joseph Robert Jochmans

Many are concerned about the coming age of man kind. For some reason we have put our trust in a group of people who sacrificed their children to false gods and who had to smoke weed in order to get to a " SPIRITUAL PLAIN" . Everything I have read on this subject points to a NEW AGE belief system that many are following. The New Age cult is growing in our world today and has even entered into our churches. The New Agers believe that the December 21, 2012 ( The Start of the winter Solstice) will bring a new consciousness to mankind if we choose correctly. Much of today's Environmental debates are based in New Age belief not scientific fact. This Mayan Prophecy is no different. They believe if mankind does not make the right choices in regards to how they care for " MOTHER EARTH" then "MOTHER EARTH" will strike back.

Now don't get me wrong I believe every person should be environmentally responsible. I believe Christians should be at the forefront of this topic; however, we can not get caught up in the New Age view. It goes against everything that is Holy in the Lord. As believers we must be careful in this hour. We must ensure the gift of discernment is working properly within us for many more false teachings and views will spread rapidly in the coming years.

The bible warns us to not get caught up in world philosophies which are contrary to His word.

Colossians 2:7-8  Sink your roots in him and build on him. Be strengthened by the faith that you were taught, and overflow with thanksgiving.  (8)  Be careful not to let anyone rob you of this faith through a shallow and misleading philosophy. Such a person follows human traditions and the world's way of doing things rather than following Christ.

Unfortunately, many believers are too immature to know the difference from God's truth verses Man's truth. The  weeds are growing up side by side with the wheat. Only Christ will be able to separate the weeds from the wheat. This day is coming. It is the day of the Lord and all will be amazed!

Matthew 13:24-30  Jesus used another illustration. He said, "The kingdom of heaven is like a man who planted good seed in his field.  (25)  But while people were asleep, his enemy planted weeds in the wheat field and went away.  (26)  When the wheat came up and formed kernels, weeds appeared.  (27)  "The owner's workers came to him and asked, 'Sir, didn't you plant good seed in your field? Where did the weeds come from?'  (28)  "He told them, 'An enemy did this.' "His workers asked him, 'Do you want us to pull out the weeds?'  (29)  "He replied, 'No. If you pull out the weeds, you may pull out the wheat with them.  (30)  Let both grow together until the harvest. When the grain is cut, I will tell the workers to gather the weeds first and tie them in bundles to be burned. But I'll have them bring the wheat into my barn.'"

What do New Agers actually believe anyway? Below are some basic beliefs. Notice that some of these have entered in our churches. They are just named a little different.

1. They believe that all religions are connected. They pull bits and pieces from other faiths. Especially from the Buddhist and Hindu faiths. ( Hello look at the Church of Oprah for more information.)
2. They don't believe that Jesus is the only Christ. They believe that there were many Christ through out History and some are waiting for the great Christ { Lord Maitreya}. ( Hello we know him as the Anti-Christ)
3.God is not a being but each individual is god.He is an energy force within each person on the planet. The planet is a goddess and other environmental things as well.
4. Mankind gets their instruction from the spiritual realm. They have spirit guides which can lead them through life.( There are Christian Inner Healing circles preaching similar things for many to find partial healing from the Lord. Many Christians use this inner healing concept to stay or make excuses to why they act a certain way. It has become a deceptive teaching in our churches.)
5. All teachings do not come from the Bible but from " Ancient Wisdom" like the writings from Egyptian, Grecian, and  Babylonian teachers.( You would be surprise how much of these teachings are actually taught from our pulpits each Sunday.)
6. Sin and evil do not exist but only love and peace are ultimate realities.  ( Some Christians have adopted the " Father's Love" teaching and have become borderline occultic.  God's love is true and powerful but it never should be used to condone or excuse our wrong behavior. Paul the apostle stated that just because we have grace and God's love does that mean we should sin even more? The answer was and still is no.

Christians should not be fearful of what New Agers suggest is coming at the end of this year. However, we should be cautious and strong in the Lord. I believe Christians in Modern countries( like ours) will see an increase of persecution and societal blame. During the fires of Rome, it was Nero who blamed the believers in Christ and issued the slaughter of many Christians. I believe we will see this mindset more and more in the coming years. People like Richard Dawkins are already rising up and leading hate speech against Christians. Ladies and Gentlemen this is happening and no I am not a conspiracy theorists.

What about the coming of the Lord? Is He coming soon? What should we do as believers?

The Lord is coming but how soon I don't know. Yes, we are in the Last Days but the Last Days started on the Day of Pentecost when Peter preached from the book of Joel. One thing is clear the Lord will come when very few are looking for His arrival.

Matthew 24:38-44  In the days before the flood, people were eating, drinking, and getting married until the day that Noah went into the ship.  (39)  They were not aware of what was happening until the flood came and swept all of them away. That is how it will be when the Son of Man comes again.  (40)  "At that time two men will be working in the field. One will be taken, and the other one will be left.  (41)  Two women will be working at a mill. One will be taken, and the other one will be left.  (42)  "Therefore, be alert, because you don't know on what day your Lord will return.  (43)  You realize that if a homeowner had known at what time of the night a thief was coming, he would have stayed awake. He would not have let the thief break into his house.  (44)  Therefore, you, too, must be ready because the Son of Man will return when you least expect him.

Many ministers have taught for decades that Jesus is around the corner and have left a generation no longer looking for a Savior. Many have taught escapism leaving many believers just waiting on borrowed time and not serving the Lord fully. One thing is true. We must be about our Father's business regardless of what is happening around us. We must stay true to His word and not have it watered down so we don't offend anyone. His word is offensive to the heart full of sin and to the one who is living opposite of God's truth.

So what should believers do?

1. Keep our eyes on Christ and know that one day He is returning.
2. Teach the unadulterated word of God to the very end.
3. Live the Life that Jesus lived.
4. Be holy as he is holy.
5. Tell others about the Lord.
6. Walk in our God given destinies.
7. Prepare the world for His return.
8. Prepare for the future purpose in the Lord. Training for reigning.
9. Walk in his power.
10. Give your life to Christ and for the world. ( Give of yourself to help others)

Believers, we have the true answer for mankind. It is not found in the Mayan prophecies but in the True Word of God. We are the people who can give hope to a dying world. The Apocalypse will one day occur but not like many may think. We must surrender to our Lord and continue on this path which has been laid before us. Never give up. Never surrender to the world's view. Keep pressing forward towards the mark of the Lord.
