Resurrection Day and the Power within

I know many people call today Easter but for believers it is Resurrection Day. Around this time of the year, our Savior and Lord rose from the rock tomb he was in. He simply slipped through all the rock and granite. The power of His transformation was so strong that the rock was rolled away from the entrance, the earth quaked, the veil in the temple ripped in half and Old Testament Saints arose from their graves. Some even walked into the city declaring the truth of our Lord. How powerful is that?

Matthew 27:51-54  Suddenly, the curtain in the temple was split in two from top to bottom. The earth shook, and the rocks were split open.  (52)  The tombs were opened, and the bodies of many holy people who had died came back to life.  (53)  They came out of the tombs after he had come back to life, and they went into the holy city where they appeared to many people.  (54)  An army officer and those watching Jesus with him saw the earthquake and the other things happening. They were terrified and said, "Certainly, this was the Son of God!"

What a powerful thing to see!!!! Today is a celebration of something remarkable!!!! Our Savior is alive and is now sitting on the right hand side of the Father. He is there praying and talking for our behalf. The Resurrection of our Lord should be something that we celebrate every day not just one time out of the year. Unfortunately, even the one time out of the year, is put up against a cute little bunny. Do any Christians ever question why every holiday we call sacred also has some worldly event taking place at the same time? Easter Bunny vs. Jesus' Resurrection or Santa Claus Vs. Jesus' Birthday. It is sad to see and many Christians mix the worldly things with the godly.

The Resurrection of Jesus is a vital part of our faith. If Jesus did not rise from the grave then our faith is no different than the many false religions which are in the world today. Paul the Apostle told the Corinthians that our faith would be useless if Jesus did not come out of that tomb.

1 Corinthians 15:12-14  If we have told you that Christ has been brought back to life, how can some of you say that coming back from the dead is impossible?  (13)  If the dead can't be brought back to life, then Christ hasn't come back to life.  (14)  If Christ hasn't come back to life, our message has no meaning and your faith also has no meaning.

I don't want to be in faith with no meaning. Jesus resurrection is vital to who we are and we should celebrate this truth every day. His actions on the Cross would have been meaningless if he did not come back to life. We need His resurrection to be true. Everything we believe rest on this truth. Why we meet together, why we share our faith, and why we worship Him are all dependent on a resurrected Lord. This is what makes our faith unique in the world today and why many try to disembowel it's truth. We have something which no other religion in the world can declare.  Buddha is dead and gone. Muhammad is dead and gone and his bones are in a tomb in Mecca. Joseph Smith is dead and gone. All the major religions do not have a glorious , risen savior, in their stories or messages. We are the only religion or faith in the whole world which makes this claim. We feel that we have bonified facts proving our Savior's resurrection; henceforth, we follow our Lord and King.

Now since we have established the Resurrection of the Lord. What about the resurrection power among believers?  We have the same Holy Spirit living inside of us just like Jesus did. Holy Spirit raised the Lord from His rocky grave and Holy Spirit will do the same for us one day. Until that glorious day comes, what about  Holy Spirit's power?

If  Holy Spirit is operating in our lives then why don't we see more demonstrations of his resurrected power? Why do so many Christians live a defeated life? Why does sin run rapid in our churches? People with resurrected power do not act defeated or sinful. The power within conquers the sin. Every believer has the power of Holy Spirit running through them. We are conduits of His power if we allow Him to use us as such. We redirect his power into others and into our own lives. We can live an undefeated life in all areas of our lives. We don't have to live defeated anymore when we discover this truth. This is why the enemy is so afraid of us. If we ever tap into this power of  Holy Spirit and allow Him to flow through us, then  look out Devil!!!!!!

Now the key to unlocking this power of Holy Spirit within our lives is simple and complicated. It is simple because all we have to do is just surrender our lives to the fullness of the Lord. It is complicated because the performance of that power comes from years of relationship building and the patience of following Holy Spirit's unctions. Many don't get it. They think that the salvation of  the Lord is the final stage of their Christian walk. He or she is badly mistaken. We are called to much more than that , and we have the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives to prove it. When we don't flow in this Resurrected power then we make our Faith of no effect to the people in the world. It is sinful not flow in such power.

love you all,
